Honest Pricing. No Surprises.

One of the most common questions we get is "how much does it cost?" The honest answer is: it depends on your home's size, siding type, condition, and the scope of work. But rather than leave you guessing, we've put together real price ranges from projects we've completed across the Twin Cities metro.

These are actual estimate ranges — not lowball quotes designed to get us in the door. The number on your written estimate is the number you pay.

What affects the price?

  • Home size — square footage of paintable surface
  • Siding type — cedar, Hardie, stucco, LP Smart, brick
  • Surface condition — amount of prep, caulking, and repairs needed
  • Scope — siding only vs. siding, trim, doors, and garage
  • Paint product — standard vs. premium (Sherwin-Williams Duration, etc.)
  • Number of colors — body, trim, accent, and door colors

Common Pricing Questions

Answers to what homeowners ask us most before getting an estimate.

Why do painter quotes vary so much?

Different painters use different materials, carry different insurance, and pay their crews differently. A quote that's 30% cheaper often means thinner paint, skipped primer, or workers without workers' comp — leaving you exposed if someone is injured on your property.

How long does an exterior paint job last?

A properly prepped and painted exterior in Minnesota should last 7–10 years. The key word is "prepped." Paint fails from the bottom up — if caulking gaps aren't filled and bare wood isn't primed, moisture gets in and the paint peels within 2–3 years.

Do you offer financing or payment plans?

We require a deposit to schedule and collect the balance on completion. We don't offer in-house financing, but many homeowners use a home equity line or credit card with rewards points for larger projects.

What's included in your estimate?

Everything needed to complete the agreed scope — labor, materials, prep, clean-up, and our 2-year workmanship warranty. The number on your estimate is the number you pay. There are no surprise add-ons unless you change the scope.

Can I supply my own paint to save money?

No — we supply all paint and materials on every job. This isn't just a preference; it's how we protect our 2-year workmanship warranty. We know exactly what went on your home, and we can stand behind the result. We buy at contractor pricing and our estimates reflect that.

When is the best time to paint exteriors in Minnesota?

Late spring through early fall (May–September) is ideal. Paint needs consistent temperatures above 50°F to cure properly. We book quickly in summer — getting your estimate in March or April means you get the scheduling window you want.
